Getting Your Mojo Back

Getting Your Mojo Back

What does it mean to get your “mojo” back? Well, it can mean different things to different people. For me, it’s getting my motivation and drive back to reignite loving what I love to do. Sometimes you get a bit sidetracked in life, and you start living your life for others. Instead of living life for yourself, you let go of the hope that those who love you will join you on your journey, because that’s the way it’s supposed to be, right?

I love this quote:

“People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing--that's why we recommend it daily.”

This is so true. Motivation is so powerful and when you are a motivated person, you feel like you can do and accomplish anything. Let’s say you lost your motivation…how do you get it back? That’s where I am right now and I truly believe that there was a small period in which I lost it.

Sometimes it is frustration, being exhausted, tired or not having others around that support you which cause you to lose that motivation. That’s what happened to me. I got to the point where I was tired and my body just shut down and, in turn, my mind shut down. I also did not have a partner at that time that was super supportive, which is extremely important. Your significant other should want to help build you up instead of tear you down and support what you are so passionate about. For my clients that lack motivation, I try to inspire them everyday by my actions and hope that has some sort of domino effect on their life. Sometimes just showing that I care about their well being and health can help.

Set goals for yourself. My goals are to look better then I ever did when I was training for a show. I am the only one I am competing against not anyone else. I want to fight the health issues I face with my thyroid and hormones and be the best I can be with the body that I have! I am embracing myself while still working toward my goals.

Understand that there will be good and bad days but as long as your goals are never out of reach then it’s a no lose situation for you.

You can be miserable or you can motivate yourself. Whatever has to be done, it’s always your choice.

Thanks so much for reading!!
