“Sky above me, Earth below me, Fire within me”
The quote above is one I live by everyday. The “elements of life”, for me, is being realistic, knowing that everyone is put on this earth for their own journey. The fire within me is something that not everyone is born with but I do feel that everyone is capable of having.
This is so awesome! I have this platform to be able to express my ideas to so many. Writing has helped me in many ways...and hopefully will help you all as well. When I write, it is usually from a place deep within. When I am struggling or going through something in my life it makes it easier to write about so I always joke that in order to write something real and meaningful I have to be in an emotional state. LOL, I’m only kidding, but I do have to dig deep and talk about issues I know so many struggle with but maybe don’t talk about.
It is halfway through the year. Wow, how time flies and I’m always growing and learning from experiences. I truly feel like life is a journey and everyone’s journey is different. I made many decisions that tested my strength as a competitor, woman, business owner and friend. Having the courage to fight for your happiness is not easy and like years before I have learned life lessons.
We all have decisions to make and I imagine most of you reading this are making decisions about your lifestyle and fitness health. Struggling with yo-yo dieting is all too familiar to me and the extreme thought process that sometimes goes into wanting so badly to change your body. The one lesson learned from these experiences is self- acceptance. It is probably the most important because positive self body image makes everything possible and allows you to accept yourself while still working toward the body you desire. I help many women and men lose weight and get healthy but I'm just a resource; it MUST come from the individual.

Decisions can be tough because they might require a situation to change. The desired road might be a bumpier, tougher road to go down but once there, it feels so good! Changes are necessary for growth. Life is unpredictable and you never know what is coming next. Don’t ever get too comfortable and always be ready for change.
I just celebrated my 31st birthday and am re-evaluating my life. I don’t want to get to the end of my life and find that I just lived the length of it. I want to have lived the width of it as well. As you get older it becomes clear who your true friends are. It’s ok for things to change as it allows for toxicity to be removed from your life. I truly feel that if I’m not happy in a current situation, then that is not healthy and can cause health issues, stress and anxiety. You can’t live your life for others and people shouldn’t make you feel bad or guilty for living your life. It is your life so live it the way you want.
This life is so precious. Love and spend time with those closest to you. Do the things that make YOU happy and make those life-changing decisions with the utmost thought and care.
